I've been a long time lurker of this forum. First of all, I wanted to thank the community for providing such a helpful resource for all things Fit/Jazz. I've been driving an A/T 2011 GE8 that my dad bought for me to use during my highschool/college days but didn't really want to fix it up since it wasn't exactly MINE. The only DIY mods I did for the GE was a full interior led conversion and replaced the stock stereo with a JVC double din.
Since the GE, I've been a huge fan of the Fit/Jazz! I always wanted my actual first car to be an M/T, so two months ago, I bought Kira, a 2017 M/T Black EX. Luckily, the dealership was trying to get rid of their 2017 inventory to make room for the 2018/9 models so they finally dropped the '17 prices. Never having driven an M/T before, It took me about a day to get comfortable taking off and another week of practice to get competent enough to drive daily. Let me just say, M/T's are a GAME CHANGER. I've never had the urge to drive a car so much until now. Anyway, I'm new to modding cars but have learned a lot on this platform to muster up the courage to procure and install some of the mods I have now. My endgame for this car really is to make it a more fun, daily driver, starting with practical mods, and ending with a couple low-key mods to make it unique to the other stock LX/EX's out there.
Kira's Mods/purchases: (thread under construction, more pictures to come)
June 2018: Purchased KIRA Cat-proof car cover(this was a MUST because there are a lot of feral cats around my house and I did not know black cars show every single scratch/imperfection. I wish I bought the white EX but no turning back now haha) 5% ceramic tint all around(another MUST due to the HOT tropical weather) J-tech LED interior and license plate lighting map & license plate:
Coronado Cherry Spillproof California Scents (I bought these in bulk on amazon, replacing them every 1-2 weeks. LOL i can't live without these)
July 2018: Acuity shift boot collar upgrade (for some reason the OEM shift knob didn't really appeal to me so this mod was a must for all aftermarket knobs) https://acuityinstruments.com/produc...luminum-finish ESCO white shift knob (Turned out to be the perfect height for my preference and stays cool to the touch even on hot days) https://acuityinstruments.com/produc...onda-and-acura OEM Door Visors (08R04-T5A-100) https://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuin...4-t5a-100.html Plasti-Dipped CRV-like, "fake" rear pillars(not a fan of the useless pillars so I color matched it for now until I decide to buy JDM rear tailights & pillar lights in the future) Enkei Rpf1 16x7 ET43
205/50/R16 tires
Gorilla splinedrive lugnuts x12
Pending mods:
Ebay LED DRL Fog light Bezels (arrived and still doing some research on how to wire properly) Clazzio quilted seatcovers (ordered and trying to forget about the long wait to give an illusion that they'll arrive soon ) Tanabe medallion touring axleback (recently ordered and pending shipment)
Wants: Swift springs/Koni Orange Struts/Shocks (Based on the threads here, this combo seems to be the popular choice for daily driving. I'm still debating if I should drop the car. I'm afraid Kira will rub on my current wheel and tire set up. I also do not have any experience on how a dropped car rides so I'm afraid the potholes, speed bumps, and my steep driveway won't be forgiving. I still haven't ruled this mod out though) Morimoto XB LED headlights (I found a thread regarding these lights and I wish the TRS website had a demo video on an actual GK) https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ho...led-heads.html JDM tail & upper pillar lights OEM ambient lights (still undecided because they look a bit dim based on the pictures on the forum) OEM illuminated door sill trim Acuity throttle pedal spacers (I'll probably get these one day to make the car more fun for heel/toe downshifting) Buddy Club Short Shifter (I've been curious on how a short shifter feels. The current OEM throws feel a bit long and this mod might just improve city traffic driving (having to shift all the time) Replace "FIT" with JAZZ badge (For some reason, I wish all Fits were called Jazz's) Color match rear license plate frame (currently have the dealership plate frames in silver)
