Has anyone come across a Honda service manual that covers the 2nd gen GE with CVT gearbox?
The one that is widely available for the GE only covers the std automatic.

Failing that is there a service manual for the GK available because that came with CVT from the get go?

 

Honda stopped selling service manuals to the public with the second gen. You may look into a subscription based service that lets you access manufacturer service data. I have no idea how that actually works overseas, but at least in the states if I wanted access I'd pay the $40 or so dollars for the month access and it shows everything, down to heavily detailed wiring diagrams.

 

That sucks, I'm surprised no one has ripped or taken a dump of the GK manuals yet and posted them in the wild, one can only hope.

I have the 09-10 manual, no mention of it but it's only the USDM spec fit.

I wonder if you might try forums based in new new zealand, those guys can import JDM stuff and might have a translated manual or at least something to start looking at handy. That CVT didn't come in many Fits. I was under the impression it was only in the hybrid models, but I don't actually know that for a fact.

 

Good tip, I have been meaning to go look at the NZ forums, the UK and South Africa got the CVT in the Gen 2 with the 1.3 and 1.2 engine, US only got the 1.5 5sp auto in the Gen 2
