The story changes every 2 days! Regardless, I am happy that this rumor says no Insight motor.

Damn rumor mill. A Fit hybrid at a slight cost over the gas Fit would push the Fit to the limits of sales~!~!

"Honda is working on a hybrid version of the Fit. That's the next-generation Fit, which is due to arrive in 2008. "

I've been waiting for the FIT Hybrid but 2008 is too far off.

Think these things are hard to get now?

Let's think about it, by then gas is about $4.00 a gallon and Honda does the same slow entry of these vehicles. It's going to be paying way over MSRP and waiting a long time for one. I for one am glad I got mine now!

The Prius currently has a 8 month waiting list. What do you think will happen when a good car company like Honda comes out with one that undercuts Toyota. If dealers are already marking up the current Fit a few thousand what do you think they will do when the demand for the Hybrid sky rockets. My Fits MPG is good enough for at least the next 5 years by then the supply for hybrids should catch up with demand and in the mean time I won't be getting screwed by all of the hustle and bustle that hybrids are begining to get.
