I fit that 16' ladder into the Fit from Home Depot, and the hatch shut!

What a stud. Thats the reason I bought A fit. You might like to here That I fit a refridgerator hand truck in the fit with the hatch down. I put it side up in between the seats and secured it with lines to the tie downs. half hitches then a couple round turnes through the hand truck then half hitches at the next tie down ancore to secure the load. I wonder what the weight limit is for the tie downs? I did not see it in the manual. If you want to see pictures of it send me your email and I will send pictures. I have mcafee software and comcast mail

Looks like it fits because the ladder has been folded once to be 8' instead of 16'-- but stilll, that's a heck of a good loading job!
