Anthony, or anyone else from the Mt. Diablo meet who was able to obtain ciburri (Ivan's) phone number, please give him a call. His work schedule may keep him from catching these new developments before he makes other plans and can't come with us.
I'm surprised that this worked out so fast, and I'm glad that we have some new members to come along with us. As I said before, I'm open any day, so if complications come up, we'll try again. But assuming that things continue positively, let's set the meeting time at Reed's Sport Shop, 3020 Alum Rock Ave., San Jose, for NO LATER than 10:00 AM, with the objective of leaving the parking lot at 10:30 sharp to start up the mountain.

grouser is not working at present because of a change in his job status (kind of a vacation) until his new schedule and location is set up by his employer. He lives 6 hours away, so this trip is not a likely prospect for him.

No more present job headaches either. I quit last week and will be looking for a new job starting this week. I do not have to rush, so I will be working on "personal" projects, too.
I might even squize a "business trip" to LA as well. I'll keep you posted.
Looking forward to the meet! Reno will stay home! He almost tore off my roof handle coming down Mt.Diablo! He is scared of heights and clifs. LOL!

Guys,
if it is OK with everybody, we can keep it flexible enough for Grouser!
Let's work on doing it Saturday, Nov. 10th, but open enough to switch it to Sunday, Nov. 11th.

No point in loosing multiple people in order to switch it to Sunday, but if everybody is willing, why not.
Another good reason for flexibility would be weather! Chances are that if it ends up raining one day, it might not the other!

Right now he is home in Redding, 6 hours away. My earlier post requesting a Sunday meet so that he could visit us on his way home at the end of his shift does not apply anymore. With luck, his new schedule won't require him to work all weekend every weekend, and won't post him someplace too far away.
From your description, Reno will be VERY happy to miss this trip, and you will still have a grab handle on the passenger side. And it will be nice to meet Bernardio if he can come.

I know for sure this would be nice, and I'm working on a upload system that will let you navigate images easily and quickly, not sure if it will be available for this coming meet, but it should make things easier to view things later.
This isn;'t just for fitfreak, it's more of what my game needs, it needs to host thousands of screenshots, and I want to make it easier for my users to share them in huge lists.
Anyways, I'm bringing ribs again, this time precooked, and kept in a warmer in my back seats... xD
I learned a secret to cooking them at home this last week.
EDIT: can we create a new thread, with information? so people don't haev to read this.. and edit the first post to have a link to the new thread?

Boy, this came together FAST! It sounds like we will have 12-15 Fits, maybe more. I will drive over to Reed's Sport Shop to see if we might be overloading the parking lot. If so, I will post another easy to find location to assemble the group for the cruise.
I am remembering back about 20 years to the last time that I went to this sporting goods store, and at that time it was to buy a Ruger .44 Mag. revolver. What I remember is a small shopping center with the largest store being Reed's with a LOT of parking lot space. I will check it out sometime this week and make corrections of the meeting spot, or re-confirm this one.
There will almost certainly be a fee to get into the park, so plan on $6.00 per car. There is no fee up at the observatory.
