Pick a Date For Ride Quality Meet
Ummm...It kinda takes some time. I dont think it would be a very good idea to do it in a parking lot. We have some mechanics who can help you out with the install some time, i belive dave knows how and i know Ivan knows how. I just went over to Ivans to put mine on and with out him i know id be lost lol. I would offer for you to come to my place and id help you out but im 100% sure on how to do it still lol.

BC, you could PM ciburri and ask for his help, or look for a local mechanic to do the job. It sounds like your recent move has increased your cost of living, so maybe paying for the installation would cramp your finances right now.
Anyway, 1/19 is the deadline for people to commit to a meet on either 1/26 or 2/2. Macbuddy and EXWRX both said that they wanted to come in the last thread, but like me they currently have stock springs, and want to get info. for possible upgrades from this meet.
Heres a little feedback on my progress springs.
Since putting them on the other night ive been driving my car alot, every chance i get im on the road. In short i like them alot. I like the superior handling and look it gave my ride. Some of things that are draw backs is the ride, it is stiff. I was on the freeway yesterday going about 70 with traffic and let me tell you i felt everything! When changing lanes and going over the lane reflectors not only is it louder but you feel them a hell of alot more. Plus little imperfections on the roadway are very noticable. On the upside when i was entering the freeway on the big turn thing to get on i flew and the car stuck without ANY body roll. My dad really pushes the car at times(i dont as much because of my lack of experience and i really dont want a ticket), anyway it really seems like it a F1 car lol. We did get some understeer but i think some stickie rubber will fix that problem. I do highly recommend these springs if you want the lowered look and handling and dont mind a rather stiff ride. If you dont like a stiff ride i wouldnt recommend them. I dont know how stiff these are compared to others since ive never road in any other Fit with springs but i have a feeling the Swifts would be less since they dont drop it as low. Im still getting used to the ride, pretty soon i wont even notice the stiffness any more, but at the moment i find my self bracing my self for pot holes lol.
You guys will get to see for yourself pretty soon!

Tyler,
This meet will be a big help, because your description of the Progress springs is EXACTLY what EXWRX, macbuddy, and I DON'T want, as we have discussed with Ivan.
Speaking of whom, Jeff, Michael, please post your feelings/availability for 1/26 or 2/2. Thanks---

Well, that's my suggestion. The location has everything that we need and want (aside from being next door to every attendees residence). But any other better location is welcome- it will just cause more delay.
Yes, I know, but "thee and me do not a Fit meet make". We need to hear from a lot more people. Otherwise its just a "freezeyourass picnic",

We've only heard from a few people. Maybe some of the lack of response is due to "oh no, its so far away!". There were 13 commits on the old post. How many now?
I'll PM macbuddy- don't want to leave him out. Tyler- if you have Ivan's phone # would you please call him and ask him to post his availability? We need his input on the testing and record keeping. I don't know how his job search is going, and that may really affect his ability to come.
In the meantime while we try to pick the date, we need at least 5 people to bring a 5 lb. bag of charcoal (pref. match light variety). The grills and fire pits here are huge, and will provide warmth for people waiting at the pavilion.
ONCE WE HAVE DATES (2 weekends for backup in case of rain), I will contact the park to reserve a pavilion/grill site.

Be happy that none of us are planning to be on Mt. Hamilton tomorrow------
2-5" of rain, snow above 2000 feet (the observatory is at 4000), and winds up to 100 mph! Must be REAL fun to live there!

Spring meet in the Winter...
The dates you posted are good for me, and the location sounds perfect. As soon as the dates are determined, I'll make sure that I leave those weekends open. As I mentioned before, I'll be sure to bring tons of sausages for snack time.
