Pick a Date For Ride Quality Meet
Been eye'ing this thread for a while. Im still trying to find out if im available on Saturday or not. It's my dad's bday weekend on the 26th and well nothing is confirmed on what we're doing. There were other plans but that was cancelled so I'm not exactly sure what's going on. Most likely be doing something later at nite so i'm good til the afternoon. I currently live in Fresno but I'm down at my parents pretty much every weekend here in the Stockton area. So I'll be in the area. Most likely going to bring a friend along since I hate driving by myself. Company keeps me awake. I'll bring some charcoal if we still need it and some other stuff. Not really looking to test my ride but looking to see what's out there and what's good as Im looking to lower my car soon. Stuff on my ride are in my sig. Hopefully see you guys on the 26th and if not maybe on the 2nd of Feb.
I'm going to try to make after all
I originally had plans to go to AT&T park for a motorx but my wife already had plans to attend a baby shower that evening. So...count me in. How many guys/gals are attending so far? Let me know, Alan.
So far, at least 13 Fits have promised to come, but various things may alter that at the meet.
This has been thoroughly discussed- if it rains, no meet, next weekend is the back-up.
The Weather Channel predicts rain/showers ever day from now through the 30th. They can be wrong though, so we'll see. If enough people contribute the fee for a pavilion, it won't rain on us underneath it, but the wet pavement will increase the danger and reduce our ability to test handling in the mountain road part of our loop.

Hey Tool,
You pretty much have what I'm possibly looking to get for my fit. Spring, sway bar, and axle back. Hopefully I'll be able to see your car in person so i can make some decisions. Definitely gonna get the sway bar but not to sure on the springs yet. Im interested in Progress, Tanabe, or Eibach. Tanabe gives me the least amount of drop on the rear since i've running 17s with 205s which i fear may rub. Also I'll be able to see how loud the axle back is or not and how it looks in person. Not looking for something big and something not too loud. And i like dual tips.

We can have a fun meet even in the rain-- as long as 10 people will contribute $20.00 each to make up the $200.00 fee for a pavilion. I am bringing money- how about the rest of you?? The rain wouldn't stop me from coming, but I don't want to just stand around getting wet in the open. The more people who contribute funds, the less the cost per person. I don't think that there will be any other fools out there to compete with us for a pavilion.
Test drives will be more dangerous, but more from the lack of skill in the general public than from us. I drive every foot of this area every day, and my Fit likes wet pavement just fine. The first rain, after months of dry weather, can get a little difficult on Bear Creek Road just because of the beaters in this area dumping oil from leaks all over the road. But the excess oil has been washed away by now, so reduced speed driving up here won't be a problem for anybody.
Bring an umbrella or raincoat if you want to inspect various rides, but otherwise a picnic under a roof in the rain is better than sitting around at home in the rain.
This is Tuesday. We need to have $200.00 committed by Thursday. I have volunteered, so has Tool, and I don't remember who the third person was. Post your monetary commitment if you want this to happen. I need Friday to buy my food supplies and wash the road silt off my car, and other people have stuff to do to get ready as well. If this plan is not locked in by Thursday, then it is canceled until 2/2.

Please go to the NCF forum and click on the thread for the meet on 1/26. We almost have enough $20.00 contributors to get a large pavilion to keep off the rain (which is almost certain for Saturday) so that we can have the meet anyway. If you can chip in, we can stay dry. The pavilions have the huge BBQ pits for warmth and give us the ability to cook all of the food at once. Please let us know!!!!!
This meet is a GO, but there are no "free rides". We will lock in a pavilion in order to stay dry and warm, but any Fit owners who come in excess of the 10 who paid $20.00 each toward the $200.00 park pavilion fee are expected to kick in their share. Ie: $200. divided by 13 Fit attendees is only $15.00, and so on. Don't forget the parking fee of $6.00. This seems like a rip off, but remember the rip off to get into Great America, or the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and those places don't even have Honda Fits.
See you Saturday in the cold and wet. Yay, and Whoopee!
