Help!
Hello all! I purchased a used 2016 fit about a year ago. I initially had a few problems with the alarm going off randomly for the first couple days but it quickly resolved on its own.
Fast forward to a month ago. I let my car sit for about three days and I left a light on and drained the battery! Sadly I also lost the key fob in this time and had to purchase another one. Ever since jumping the car and getting a new fob my alarm hasn’t been able to hold a charge and the alarm is going off every 15 minutes or so until the battery inevitably dies.
I don’t know what to do! The people at autozone and orileys tested the battery and the entire system and said everything was perfect. I took the car on a three hour road trip today and when I got home about two hours ago the alarm has gone off twice. It has been quiet for the past 45 min…
at this point I’ve googled everything and tried everything. I just want to take out the fuse for the alarm but nowhere in the manual or online can I find one that controls the alarm.
I’m eager to see if the battery holds a charge overnight after my road trip. I’ve read that a drained battery can mess with the alarm. I’ll keep y’all updated.
PLEASE HELP ME THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY
