2008 Fit Sport odometer displaying "no" CEL but no codes

So I bought a 2008 Honda Fit Sport this weekend. When I test drove it before purchasing everything seemed fine. When I came back later in the day to drive it home I noticed the odometer started blinking "no" and the check engine light, abs light, airbag light, TPMS light, and power steering all came on all blinking. Once I got the car home I plugged in my OBD scanner to see what the check engine light was about. No codes... weird. I figured my cheap scanner might not be picking up ABS codes or something so I took it to O'Reilly and had them scan it but still nothing everything appeared fine as far as the scanner is concerned. I noticed the nut that secured the positive battery terminal was missing so I thought maybe the battery disconnected briefly at some point. I took the battery out and charged it all night and left the power leads connected together all night to hopefully reset the ECU. In the morning after charging the battery the car was still displaying the dash lights and "no" on the odometer. I'm at a loss. My friend who is an experienced mechanic and handles a lot of electrical issues at his shop told me the "no" likely means no bus so the cluster is not getting the bus data for some reason possible corroded connectors or bad ground somewhere. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I've been looking all over the internet for similar issues but having a hard time finding anyone having this happen to their Honda Fit.
