Engine bouncing off 4K RPM ?

Hey everyone , I recently just got an oil change from the dealership and they basically screwed up the oil filter. I started leaking oil right after the oil change and immediately brought it back to the dealership. They supposedly fixed the problem , but after picking up my car I start smelling burning oil. The next day I get a CEL , and my car starts bouncing of 4K RPM on each gear. What's happening

your cars is probably running in safe mode. I suggest you take it to a different dealership

Something similar happened to me with a previous car when the dealership put WAY to much oil back into the car. When they drained it and filled it back to normal, it was fine - but yeah definitely take it back.

Hey, I'm a lazy bastard. When the oil changes are free, I'll let them mess with it. One problem out of all the times I have it done is OK with me. Plus the dealer has free snacks and drinks

Look by the TB. Theres a sensor on the top of the intake mani just after the TB. This is the MAP/BARRO sensor. If its disconnected the car bounces at a certain RPM like youre explaining. Sounds like a 2-step.

Plug it back in. Turn the car off, start it back up. If it does the same it may need to be replaced. Maybe during their clean up job they ruined it? With water or something.

The problem with the filter can happen to anyone. Im willing to bet they double gasketed the filter. They basically left the other O ring on the block and screwed on the new filter. That will cause a massive leak.

I brought my Fit to the dealer today for an oil change. Brought my own oil too. I was looking up part numbers and figured might as well get it done since the oil was in the pass. seat. Cant wait for that service inspection sheet. I heard the advisor AND tech revving and beating on my car in the back. WTF is wrong with people these days?!

lack of oil pressure will throw the engine into "limp mode". check your oil levels ASAP.

yes, get engine code read to know for sure.
