Big Tranny Problem

Oh boy...i thought when i got rid of my '00 TL I thought I'd be rid of transmission problems. In the past week or so, there has been at least one instance a day when ill be shifting from third to fourth...and the following happens....

1.Clutch In
2.Shift into neutral, then fourth in one motion
3.Rev up to around 2.5k while letting out clutch
4. VROOOOM! LURCH! ****!!!

Its as if i shifted into first. It revs way up to like 6k and the whole car lurches violently....now I know everyone will probably assume I'm just accidentally shifting into 2nd, but I'm not. I'll look down as it happens and its in 4th, i put it into neutral, and then back into 4th and everything is fine. What is going on? There's like 1200 miles on my Fit. Theres no way i should be having a problem like this....(sorry for the long post)

The only thing that could cause what you describe is a misaligned shift linkage... simple to fix. Although I would expect it to be consistent....always wrong. Nothing in the tranny itself could cause this.
AT is a whole differnet story...
