Followed your DIY up to the mounting of the brackets because the HID's i got had different brackets for the ballasts so i had to drill new holes above the second one u specified for mounting, but nonetheless great writeup and i cant complain for getting 8k bi's for 70 bucks from my neighbor lol

Just got my kit installed today. My lights worked fine, until the left went out. Is this normal? It flickered just only once and that was the last of it. It won't turn on AT ALL and I've rechecked my wires all over again. It worked fine for a good 15 minutes. The peculiar thing is that I have the H4-2 so my halogen hi-beam actually works perfectly with only the HID left side not functioning.

I've heard of the break in period but it won't turn on completely and I've checked wiring and tried to restart my car etc. to reset anything. Is this a normal thing for the XX bulbs/kits to do this? Please help thanks.

No that is not normal to XX kit and the break in period all the light will just flicker once and go back to normal......what you can do is switch the bulb around and see if the left will go out again.....then if so switch around the wiring....trying to remember that wiring order.....

What's even more odd is that I worked on the left side first(non-functioning side) until i perfected it then I mapped the right side EXACTLY like it. Now only the right works. I'm beginning to think it's the bulb but I'm going to check once more.. it's such a bitch to do for the Fit.

I had somewhat a similar problem. I have bi-xenon XX kit. My left side high-beam worked, the right side did not. Both low beams worked fine. I switched the bulbs from one side to the other and now both work fine. So if you have time, try switching the left and right side bulbs to see if that helps. Good luck.

Yeah, I think that's normal for the ballasts to be buzzing. Mine do it, and at least I think it's normal.

Why am I still up so late...

It'd be different for the fogs since the wiring is in a different location, but the general way of connecting the kit to the car is still the same.
