Oil Filter Thread
How are the hamp filters expensive? buy a case with a buddy of yours and they are 5 bucks a peice. The idea behind using them is in a performance application. They are much smaller and have been said to bump your oil press by a few psi

While honeywell may manufacture them, i dont think they DESIGN them. Honda give them specs and the design and their plant produces them. And its not even fram the parent company that makes them. I may be wrong but untill two are cut open and compared i wont be convinced
Actually the Honda filters are more like the expensive Toughguard line of Frams, so they are better-made than the orange cans. The discount online dealers will sell you a six-pack of OE filters for less than the orange cans.

^^^ you have to view synthetic oil & quality filters as an investment in long-term reliability and savings . . . With a good synthetic & quality filter, you don't need to change them anywhere near as often as a cheap stuff, and your engine will be better for it.
e.g. AMSOIL . . . Including a $10 premium membership it only cost me $60 shipped for 4 quarts of 0w20 & one of their filters. But that $60 oil change is going to last my car a year (or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first). So the cost is a wash when you consider how often you'd need to change cheap oil. And while it may not be super significant, you can expect some improvement in power & fuel efficiency as a result of the superior oil.

I always heard good things about Wix filters. I think that they make the Motorcraft filters that I have only heard praise about.
Would you be able to get me a part number for the Wix filter sold at Napa?
My local Napa does not hire the shapest guys and they have sold me the wrong items in the past. I only found out after I began tearing into the car.

thats the best combo for sure!!... i used that combo in the last 2 oil change and it feels awsome!!
