80k Mile Maintenance

My 2008 GD recently broke the 80k mile mark. I dont always have time to do regular maintenance (I'll try and do the oil changes when the maintenance minder prompts me). I have a vacation coming up and I'm wondering if there is any maintenance that I should get out of the way now. It'll be a few months (probably another 10-15k miles) before I can do some serious work again. Front brake pads were changed about 20k miles ago. Other than that, I havent done anything else really.

Also, if I want to switch to synthetic, what weight should i go with and do I need to do anything special with switching/breaking in after i switch?

nothing major until 100k
until then...
change tranny fluid
top off all fluids
check brakes
oil changes
change air filters

at 100k...
change spark plugs and get a valve adjustment.
and all normal maintnence items

no problem switching to synthetic. use teh same weight that you use for regular oil.

^For the tranny fluid.. I've got a MT. Should I just go with the Honda stuff or is there another brand that will be better?

Change and bleed the brake fluid if it wasn't changed with the front brake pads, or if it's been a few years since it was changed.
