What is the best INTAKE?
Not sure how much you read on my site, but you might want to check out the Power Box thread as it documents what was done to make it fit USDM Fits as well as has a picture (last page) of the final release which is slightly different than the prototype I have (no plugged JDM sensor hole).

It's a great intake, I have no regrets.

Wow that is a gorgeous intake and im sure works very well aside from looking nice given J's reputation. The only other intake that I know of for the Fit that looks as nice as this is the Gruppe M RAM AIR Charger which also has a full carbon induction housing.
I am interested, could post a link.
+1. No problems or issues with my AEM CAI. Great response in power and sound is awesome, especially when vtec kicks in.
I have the AEM cold air intake and couldn't be happier with it, noticable increase in response, sound, and power. I had some reservations about a CAI because of people talking about water uptake, but I've been on long highway road trips where downpours have slowed traffic to 30 mph, with heavy pooling on the road and experienced no issues, ( even with my car being lowered).
I hope you all are seated and well secured in your chairs.
I emailed AJ-Racing a couple od days ago while doing some surfing on the net. I heard back from them yesterday. The intake by J's Racing is..........are you ready...........$740.00 (USD)
This does not including shipping, and it is a special order item that takes 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. I know it is gorgeous
and more than likely performs awsome, but I don't have the kind of cash flow to drop that kind of money on an intake
!

For whatever reason the Power Intake's application PDF on Apexera's website doesnt work too well so I cant get any info on that intake and as far as I remember its not listed in the Fit volume of Hyper Rev. Apexi's Power Intake filter has been tested to be the best as far as flow so it would be great to get some info on it and to see if anyone can actually source it to the US not to mention whether it would even be compatible with the US Fit.
Tricolor, here is a link to the Gruppe M Ram Air Intake breakdown of that system:

And here is a link to the GD3 Fit Application:

Ben from AJ Racing confirmed that this does not fit the US market Fit unfortunately or else I would have gotten one a long time ago.

I wasn't able to get the Power Chamber installed this weekend. The guys relayed to me that they are trying to mess around with this particular model to make it more efficient. I'll update when they call me for the test fit.
Yeah I'm new!
Ok,
just got my fit, silver sport MT. I would like to get a new intake, however I have no clue about what is good, for instance, I do not know what CAI stands for. Anyway, I thought about the K&N, but it seems to have some issues, what would be a good, average and best bang for the buck intake? I have seen the Fujita and AEM for around $230, are they any good? Also, where is a good place to buy one from? Oh, and if it's easy to install that would be nice too. Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

As for what's good, it's a tossup, I think. Fujita and AEM are both reputable companies... I personally have an Injen. I'd stay away from K&N right now as there is talk here that it doesn't fit right. CAI's are a bit more difficult to install than SRI/chamber because you have to remove the front bumper and shimmy the piping up through the outside. Either way, it should take you an hour or so even with limited knowledge.
You can check the vendor sections for places to buy. I know personally that the Injen comes with great step by step instructions if you didn't know what you're doing... the others may or may not - someone who has them can chime in.
When I ordered my intake from Modacar.com, I asked them this question. The guy there claimed that out of the Fujita, AEM, and Injen, the Fujita was the best and most free-flowing CAI. The AEM and Injen are CARB-certified (legal to use in CA with permit and all that junk), but the Fujita isn't. Since it doesn't conform to CARB, there is slightly higher air flow.
With that said, I don't think it's that big of a difference between the three. I will say that the Fujita and AEM CAIs only fit the M/T Fits. The Injen CAI is the only one out of the three that can be installed onto the A/T Fit.
I just recently installed the Injen CAI on my A/T Fit and it was fairly easy. It only took about an hour's time. The hardest part was just removing the front bumper. I ordered it from Auto Accessories, Performance Car Parts, Import&Domestic @ Modacar Auto Accessories. They sell it for $225 with free shipping, so it doesn't matter where you live you pay the same price as everyone else.

this is my T1R intake.. some what pricy..$400. but i think its worth it. i was thinking to get intake and exhust to get the deep sound and more power. but after i got the T1R intake, it already sound noisy enough that i wanted. exhust?.. nah.. slow car with loud exhust just seem stupid to me. after i have my T1R intake, seem like i use more gas, maybe i step on the gas harder to high rpm (vetc range) to get that growl sound from the intake. overall i get around 334k for a tank, i dont know if is good or not.
