Drop in Filters? Which is best?
Cold air is higher in density. The factory air box is utilizing the cooler air from outside the engine bay anyway. If you wish to keep your warranty I suggest a K&N drop in filter like I am looking into.
I am considering SCCA as well and from what I've read so far, a cold air intake (the pipe with cone on the end) is not legal for the H stock class.

The Fit's OEM intake setup actually doesn't look too bad, considering that it's got a nozzle to draw cool air from just below the bumper. But I'm also reading between the lines on the rules, so I plan to insulate the stock airbox to try to keep it cooler, using a foil covered stick-on insulation blanket on the outside. I suspect it picks up a lot of heat, being right behind the radiator.
