your write-up was helpful although i think you got a lil mixed up on the order of procedures i.e.
3. Still from the bottom loosen the bracket connecting to the header using a 12mm. Loosen at the header as well as the bolt connected to the transmission.
4. With 12 mm remove the bolts with springs connecting the downpipe and the header. I had a air rachet which is soo handy

should be 4 and then 3. maybe im just mechanically retarded, but loosening the bracket first caused me to bend one of the spring cat screws . there was nothing to support my muffler while i was trying to break the nuts loose finally re-attached the support and had no more problems. no big deal like i said im a lil mechanically retarded and i am sure others are out there!

Did you paint your exhaust? It looks black in the video.

If I remember correctly I think he did, along with SciroccoTDI and myself. There's a couple threads on it if you're really interested.

If and when I do get an exhaust, I plan on going the route of the flat black... I saw the post on the Megan double tip exhaust painted flat black. I like that look a lot. All stealth and 'murdered out.'

painted muffler

yes i did paint the muffler and about two inches of the twin pipes looks really good .i finally added the mid pipe so i am cat back now with the header. i will make a new video the old video i didnt really get on it so it sounds really mellow, which in fact it is but you dont really hear the true sound untill you get around 3000-4000 rpm! look for it today! by the way i cannot take credit for the painted muffler got the idea from someone on this forum ..great idea though, especially on a white fit!

noticed a significant difference with just the header and intake. but when i added the full cat back it really gave it a nice boost around 3000 rpms!
