The shop that installed it should have did that for you.

Yes they should have and they will be doing it on Monday. I don't want to start knocking them for not doing it, but come on! DERR! Anyway, I would have gone back today to get it fixed, but I had to go home last night to Gainesville (2 hour drive).

The zip ties worked a little bit.

Another fix would be heating up the hangers on the muffler and then bending them so they pull the muffler upward.
And theres always worm clamps. If the zipties arent strong enough to pull the muffler up use worm clamps *shrugs*

Isnt that the older one? From what I see it looks good. I like the 05-06, looks like an Sp2.

yeah, it's off of an '04 type-S. i got it for $40 shipped, so i couldn't pass it up. the shipping was $33, so basically i got it for $7.
i had the shop weld it on to the existing axleback exhaust flange. it's not a lot louder at all, but it has a nice tone. i can compare it to the stock sound all of the time because i drive my fiance's stock Fit all the time.
i eventually will go with a real catback exhaust. but i hated the stock muffler so much, and i got this muffler for a steal of a price.

but yeah, i would go with the 05-06 RSX Type-S muffler if you can find one for a low price. unfortunately, that's probably not really going to happen. they don't come so cheap.

The ep3 muffler has to be installed by a muffler shop.

like Danger69 said, a muffler shop has to install it. I believe there is welding involved, if you're comfortable doing that

wait so your saying a stock ep3 muffler will just bolt on the fit.. no welding or custom work needs to be done?

from what i have heard is that it can only be bolted up with one bolt so more than likely the exhaust will leak which will cause a performance loss and a crappy sound

Just got my ep3 exhaust in yesterday i cant wait to put it in tomorrow. I might take pictures and write up a DIY. I got it because i love the look of the dual tips, the tone is just a hair louder than the oem Fit exhaust and its suppose to be more free lowing than the Fits

It should be freer flowing for sure... It was designed to be on a 160Hp 2.0l Engine!!! Just like a Muffler from a DOHC Neon that was a good upgrade for a SOHC. And less expensive too!!
