I guess no one has any idea of the belt squeal if it's normal or not?

I have this problem too. Nothing to worry about. It used to happen every time I left the car for a little bit then started it up, but more recently, even after leaving it for a few days, the squealing has stopped.

Very very very soon.
Hondata is going to come out SO soon, in fact, that it will actually meet its June release date!

cool thx for the responses. Was hoping it wasn't a bad pulley or bad belt. So far it only happens when I start the car first thing in the morning i go to work, after that, the rest of the day is nothing but a nice sexy whine

Belt squeal for a supercharger is pretty normal especially in colder areas like back east. As the belt gets worned, it has to get retightened. It is a nuisance but part of the norm in owning any type of supercharger.

There should be absolutely no belt squeal from your kit. Check your connections, and make sure there are no foreign substances on the belt.

Can I sell my pre-order and transfer it to a new holder? My brother's college is coming up more expensive than we planned for. If I do, there will be a t1r header going fs too...

what did you get? i have to agree, this waiting has taken a bit much.

and its not that i don't want the product to be perfect and trouble free, more power to kraftwerks for taking the time to ensure that! its just that they should have gone without telling us an estimated time, so that way no one was dissapointed.

1/4 mile timessss plleaaseeee.

As of now I don't even see a comparison between the KWSC and the T1R turbo. It's like two different leagues.

I'd really like to see some numbers from this hondata upgrade and the highboost.

If a person can get highboost for $4500 or less and run 185hp/170lbtq, then I'll have trouble deciding which kit to get, but as of now, 30hp for $3500 isn't my bag.

so hurry up already!

..... ok from what I remember jdmchris said he was running 144 whp with the 5 psi that is the base kit so I doubt the high boost hondata is going to get you 185hp/170ft/lb tq. If you are looking for that much hp etc... then you should look into swapping for a k20 because you aren't going to reach that with any turbo either.

i thought you felt that forced induction was a waste of time to being with?

and is it not 30hp to the wheels? the tr1 kit doesn't do much more than that unless you are willing to shell out more for a tune.

it is too 30 hp to the wheels, look at everyone's dynos. lol.

and I'm still all for nitrous.

besides, who DOESN'T tune their turbo? for $800 more than the kwsc bluecell is at 165hp 155lb tq.

jdmchris is the ONLY person running 144hp with the kwsc and that's with hondata and the injector upgrade w/ header back exhaust and intake.

and fitcapo, bluecell is at 5psi, but he's going up to 8psi, do you really think that he won't gain 20hp from that?

besides, jdmchris has said that the high boost kit will have numbers near the 180s, if I remember right. and the high boost kit will be 10psi, so it's possible.

From what I remember reading the 144 was before the hondata. I guess I can go back and look that is what I get for not paying too much attention and only pipeing in here and there.

As of right now I have my heart set on the auto kwsc with hondata and Highboost as of right now I have no money saved up for it so I am looking at a year from now I will be getting it. Anything can happen from now and a year from now a new better kit could come out a really nice easy to install turbo kit could come out who knows.

my mistake. but you are still wrong in saying chris is at 144. he IS using hondata, but he is not @ 144 whp. that was @ 5 psi with a cat delete.

as far as how much psi is realated to hp, i dunno, i'm not a tuner, so i wont assume. it could be a 20hp jump, it could not.

i just find it slightly amusing that someon who was DISCOURAGING people at one point to do forced induction just so happens to be 'all for' nitrous.

Well.. Illusive and myself will be able to do a comparison soon. I'll have my T1R kit installed by mid August. And I hope that when it's broke in we can hit up the 1/4 mile track in town and see what the differences really are. Only problem is that Illusive is still waiting on the hondata and highboost.

There's always going to be a lot of debate on which one is better, or which one is faster. The T1R kit I am getting is pre-set to 6psi, and the Greddy Emanage Ultimate is mapped to 6psi as well. I should be in the neighborhood of 165hp/160ft lbs to the wheels (i hope ). Peak boost at just under 3500rpms and peak torque at 4000rpms.

So I'm sure it will be quite close between the 2 kits. The only power differences I can see is that the turbo will be at peak boost much earlier in the powerband than the SC. But that is still speculation.. no one has seen a dyno graph of the hondata and highboost combo.

My guess would be that for the KWSC kit, w/hondata/highboost you will be looking at around $4700. The T1R kit is 3895.

I went T1R cause I didn't want to wait anymore.. I had been waiting for 2.5 months and I couldn't do it. The turbo kit will have more tuning flexibility in the end, but the KWSC kit I'm sure will be more efficient and reliable for those who just want to plug, play, and forget.

That's my 0.02
