Honda-Tech.com: Hybrid: Finally, the TRUTH regarding K-Series vs. B-Series engine weights!

b18c is a great platform to start from.
currently making 263hp with a bored/stroked fully built b18c in my 2000 civic si.
and swapping wire harness isnt hard.
custom mounts are already being made just for this. (just not as available as the k mounts for the fit)
there is already how to's on setting up throttle cable conversion.
as for the gauge cluster...ive seen rsx clusters in 96-00 civics so putting a ek cluster in our fit wouldnt be hard either. swap motor wire harness and cluster and go.
expect work and $ to play.

haha this is exactly what I was thinking about when people were saying why put an old outdated motor into a new car?
I know a shit ton of evo guys who would trade their 4B11T for a 4G63. Newer is not better. Even though it may not be a good idea from a technical aspect to put a B series into a fit, calling it a steam engine is ignorant statement. This was not a stupid question.

ture new is not always better but could that be cuase the older modles already have 10+years in aftermartket devolopment and support? i mean common now the 4g63 is a awsome motor but i think the newer one will just be like the 4g63 but even better and same goes wiht the b vs k series questionl.

If I could put B18C in for $3000 less than a K20, that's the route I would go.
