Well I didn't get a sound clip with the muffler delete only. I recently(2 days ago) replaced the resonator with a Thrush cherry bomb and I love it!!! It's loud when I want it to be. I can honestly say though that the muffler delete sounded amazing. I took my car to a muffler shop and had them hack the muffler out and weld a pipe in there to the factory tip. Easy day, they charged me $75 to it, but it's quality for sure! I say go for it...the butt dyno never lies either. Picked up a little pep!

I'll get some more pics and hopefully a video posted on monday. I'll get inside and outside videos. With the cherrybomb i put in there in place of the resonator it sounds amazing! I love it. it's loud when i want to be, decent on cruise and not much in the way of drone. It does drone when decelerating, but any exhaust does. Plus with a clutch push and throttle tap it gets poppy and mean sounding. BTW, with just exhaust done i ran a 10.79 1/8th mile last night!

I had a muffler shop put a 2.5" pipe from the axle to a 12" generic glass pack muffler and a chrome plated 3" outlet pipe in August 06... I experienced the same as what you have... It will get louder and drone at highway speeds in time but the glass pack will still provide a lower pitched sound than a straight pipe..

Not sure I would have pulled out the Resonator. Little too loud for me.

It all depends on what you're looking for i suppose. i wish i would have done a sound clip with just the muffler delete. i think most people would enjoy the note from just doing that. I really like the cherry bomb in my setup though and like the popping without raspiness.

That sounds good I may pick up a stock exhaust and do the same.I know you could just weld your stock muffler back in but I would like to keep my stock set up intact.

Imagine the looks from the V8 guys seeing 10.79ET in your window and not knowing it was in the 1/8th lol

Hahaha... I am working on something VERY custom at the moment, but when I go to SCCA events I just un-bolt and remove everything after the resonator in my Skunk2 60mm cat back system Still too quiet to break 95db at 50feet Hence why I'm working on a more "custom" Race Exhaust
