Talking Royal Purple in the fit motor!

So i decided to spend the ridiculous amount of money($8 a quart) on some Royal Purple oil. i was pretty sure i wouldn't notice a thing, but i was actually wrong. I DID notice a slight increase in torque, acceleration, better MPG's, and smoothness of idle. Now i know alot of u are saying hmmmm dout it. trust me on this i would be the first to shut it down if it didnt work, but this stuff actually does what it say and best of all ITS FRICKEN PURPLE!!! it looks like ur pouring thick grape juice into ur motor. try it guys let me know what u think.

I just switched to royal purple this Saturday and I can honestly say I felt no difference at all. Runs a little smoother but the car is still just as slow.

well for sure the car is slow.I love my fit to death but lets be real... IT IS A HONDA FIT. i felt i little bit more torque, but i mean the oil is good and i know long term affect will be good, healthy engine.

I'm no expert (not even close), but it seems to me that any benefit (e.g., torque, acceleration) from using synthetic oil would be so miniscule on a car like the Fit that it would be next to impossible to tell by the seat of your pants. That said, I can't argue the benefits of using a higher grade oil, especially if you're going to keep the car a long time. If it's a lease, which I suspect it's not, then you probably only should change the oil once every 12k miles, synthetic or not.

i too use the purple, and while i havent noticed any gains, i DEFINATELY noticed the engine running smoother (especially in idle) than with conventional. the difference was instant.

that said i get a discount on it, and figure i can run it for ~10k miles between changes, so the price for quality is worth it to me

i've been using eneos 0w20 and I noticed a difference at idle. its super smooth at idle. not sure that I could claim big hp gains but I spend the extra coin for it. think I paid $60 for a case of 12 through work.
