At 6 psi back last year, I made 157whp on an STD dyno. With just an axle back.

Yeah I'd be willing to bet then that you were probably suffering from high IATs. Get the AEM in that bitch and then take it back to the rollers! Oh, and let her cool down a little bit between runs next time or your hamsters are gonna go on strike LOL.

Haha. I just ordered the AEM today and calling up boomslang. I'll bring my own water to spray the intercooler down to help it stay a little cooler.

Haha ghetto intercooler spray! Awesome.

Also, just to add for anyone listening, Boomslang's harness saved my life. Literally. I had enough trouble wiring up my harness back to stock (it didnt even run for a WEEK after I soldered in the Emanage originally) to install the harness, I'm pretty sure if I had to hard-wire another ECU I'd put my head under the wheel and roll over myself first.

219+shipping on the boomslang with a week wait period plus shipping period. They should make more of these!

Ghetto water spray is better than no spray on the Dyno. There isn't enough air from a fan to cool the car down when you are hitting redline.

Ok, I ordered the AEM late night on Sunday. Came today in the mail. That ebay guy(RacingImporter) is fast. Just waiting on the boomslang. BTW Explosivpotato, do you have a base map I can use? It would save me some time(dyno is expensive per hour)

Spooling, what the hell are you talking about?

The fit doesn't use a MAF sensor at all... And the stock MAP sensor is good to around 11 psi. The AEM F/IC has an onboard map sensor good to 20 something psi.

And Blue, I'll send you a map, but I won't be able to till tomorrow.

Hey guys I have just 2 questions. If I get the kw supercharger kit do I have to do all this stuff for it. and 2 if I get this should I get a aftermarket header and CAI to help the kwsc?

I have the credit card ready I just have to hide it from the wife lol

THanks

some words of wisdom on this subject...first you wont need a CAI with the KWSC. 2nd depending on whether you have an a/t or m/t you may decide to go a different route. if you have a m/t then i would get the high boost kit and hondata. Although i am still skeptical about the reflash because it is not out yet and there are no real reviews from several people from across the country in different climates etc...etc...

If you have an a/t then go the same route i did. get the a/t kit or the m/t kit (i have the m/t one) and go 10psi. it's worth it. If you want to stay at 5 there is a noticable difference in power but i would mos def scrap the supercard. 5psi with header you can run the stock injectors. if you dump the cat then i would get 195cc injectors. if you go 10psi then you would need 310cc injectors.

Either way if you are not going with hondata then spend the extra dough and get the F/IC and the boomslang harness! plus an A/F gauge its a must.

From personal experience...I had the 5psi kit on for 8 months. enjoyed the added increase in power but bang for the buck it wasn't there. While the supercard works well i found that it is not as linear as i would have hoped. If i ran stock injectors i was at 12.5 at the low rpms and close to 14.5 up high. if i ran 195's i was at 12.5-13 up high which was ideal but at low rpms i was wayyy too rich. that caused my plugs to foul over time.

Running the F/IC with 10psi on my a/t for close to 3 months now NO PROBLEMS. my a/f is stable across the ENTIRE rpm range at WOT. at cruising speeds i am between 14.8 and 15.2 which is perfect also.

I'll sum it up by saying this: I just got 35mpg today. havent seen those numbers since i was bone stock. I attibute that to the tune and also i just got a set of Motegi Tracklite's. 17x7 14lbs which helped a bit.

i wonder how the greddy turbo kit's wiring harness effects the cel problem. if greddy figured it out, ill just buy the harness from them when its available. if not, im switching to aem f/ic. i also want to see some comparative numbers to see if there is any loss in hp/tq.

Thank you for the info, I know that 5 lbs of boost is not much. I have a 2007 AT and is the 10lbs of boost too much for our engines if we want them to last? I drive 80 % normal and I want to join the autocross club around tampa to hit the cones for time I love the way the fit handles. Will the AT handle the added hp and torgue? Did you put a larger tranny cooler when you went to 10lbs. Sorry for all the questions.

Joe
