iv been thinking about the hks kit aswell, how many people have alot of miles on these kits? i wouldnt want it to get all worn out (the hardware) after 5-10k miles, is this a kit that can go 50k plus? and with no problems?

i dont see why it cant go 50k. you just need to keep up with your maintenance. also every car/motor is different so who knows what could happen in that period of time.

yea that is true, with proper maintenance and routine checks i dont see why you can get high mileage outta these turbo kits, just sucks how the oil return is and that it does not come with the ssq bov

with a good tune and proper maintnance, no reason why a turbo cant last 100k+

cars coem with a turbo from the factory, they last a long time.

just make sure you get a proper tune.

and im not sure if the hks kit comes water cooled or not, but if you can, hook up coolant lines. if it isnt water cooled, make sure to give it proper cool down time.

between those 2 things, no reason why a aftermarket turbo with quality parts cant be as reliable as a car with an OEM turbo.

This is a blessing in disguise. That bov is the most obnoxious on the market. Not including it in the kit will allow you get get a Tial.

Which kit adds more horsepower? Hks or kraftwerks high boost kit? Ps does the supercharger creates more or less heat than the turbo?

I just bought the HKS Fit Turbo Kit with HI-Power Exhaust and Super Fire Racing plugs. Wife isn't happy so I don't think I will be putting it on. I'm probably just going to sell it all and go with light "stock looking" mods . I'll be posting it all up later .

For our cars, I've seen all the turbo kits utilize BOVs so we vent to the atmosphere. Would having a system that recirculates the air be more benificial, for example the DV on the KWSC or like the bypass valves on other cars with turbos the puts air back into the intake instead of venting to the atmosphere?

I'm just curious as I came from a DSM which meters air flow with a MAF unlike our GD3 fits (I think)
