people try to make things so complicated but working on engines is rather easy if you take your time and think out each step.

if anyone wants a map pm me and i can hook you up. the map is set for 8psi i believe.

Internal combustion engines are an absolute breeze to work on and perform modifications to. Its trying to work with or around the ECU settings to get the multiple things that you do to work well together that is difficult and costly to remedy.

I think it is more the fact that the ECU is reacting to the changes on its own, and adjusting to compensate, with sometimes disastrous results. Damned computers! LOL

With a cam change you are going to have to raise the rev limiter change the vtec transfer settings, ignition timing, idle speed, and possibly the A/F ratios, all of which are things that require getting into the ECU with the proper tuning tools while on a dyno after numerous runs and cool downs to establish a base line...... Most Fit owners have adverse feelings about spending money on simple things that improve performance like high octane fuel. The people that market performance parts and services have taken notice of this and have concentrated on other car models like the Civic and ignore the Fit leaving only turbos with self tuning devices and KWSC with an actual reflashed ECU.... A cam change alone can't make enough power alone to justify the cost of a reflash for a Fit.....Maybe if there was a complete NA kit, but I don't think so..... At least we know that you can pick up power gains from a little whittling on the inside of the intake plenum and bolt ons.

And for my daily driver that is about as far as I really want to go. On a happy note a 268/280 Comp cams Extreme Energy cam for the 383 Chevy shows massive gains and there no computer to screw with! Not that I have been shopping on Jegs for eight straight hours or anything LOL

I think this is a dead topic. K-alt has not responded since his integrity has been challenged. I personally have not challenged his integrity but he has gone silent since.

awesome! that would be even better, they would probably get back with you fast! You think they would be more interested if more dealers communicated with them?
