How do these compare to The CAI's power wise. I ask because if its a good gain i may want one. but i go for function over form.

It does look cool as hell.

Heyy guys.

I'm currently thinking about buying one 2nd hand. Does anyone have the feedback on this intake??

What I worry about is whether it might be prone to hydrolock by any chance.

Thanks

Bought it for $420AUD

Had it installed already and I have to say it sounds awesome. Quiet when I want and racy engine sound when i step on it.

Throttle response is definitely better. I can feel the power gain mainly in the mid-range. But it can also rev up to red line alot easier. With stock airbox, it struggles to get past 6k.

Really happy with the purchase. Though it does cost a fortune buy it brand new.

dude im jealous this is an amazing intake. but theres one thing that i couldnt help but notice. on your profile it says that you are located in australia, are the fits down under the same as our NA fits? did you have to get a smaller battery?

I post some pics of the intake once i get some time.

As far as i know, we our fit are a bit closer to the japanese model.

Difference is that we dont get climate control, aux in, no side mirror indicators, no LED tail lights, and no rear disc brakes.

Engine wise, it's the same i think.

I did take a quick look at the j's racing intake.

Only problem is that down in Australia, any filter that's not enclosed is considered as illegal and would be considered as a defect.

Many people still do it but I didn't want to take that chance.

Hence this is why i bought the gruppem intake. Filter is not exposed.
