Hello all,
I have a 2005 Honda fit GD1 and I am really confused which transmission fluid to use. The gearbox dipstick says "ATF" but the Honda dealership says that HMMF should be used. I know that ATF and CVT are two different types of transmissions, and using the wrong fluid could cause severe damage. Do all the Honda Fit GD1 have CVT transmissions? If so, why "ATF" is written on the dipstick?
Please advice me which transmission fluid should I use.

Hello! I have a GD3 2005 JDM and wondering which is best as well. I got the car nearly a year ago and the car had a shudder. I put in fresh CVTFand it was perfectly smooth. After driving for 8 months or so, it now has a slight shudder going into reverse when the engine is not fully warm and some hesitation when starting in Drive. I was about to change the fluid to HMMF, but now I'm seeing lots of people saying ATF Dexron III is working great for them. Which fluid di you go with? Any feedback?
