Hello! I've been very interested in getting a Fit as my next car, and March 25th, that happened!
Would've preferred a 2nd gen, cause I planned to mod in the on-wheel radio controls, and I liked the look of the AC/radio setup more. But this 1st gen I found was, I feel, too good to not act on.

Got myself an orange 2008 sport manual with (from a little bit of research) the Katzkin leather interior, at 110k miles for $5,700. (Could be wrong about the interior. I don't know much about aftermarket stuff for Fits yet)
It's not cosmetically perfect of course, but mechanically she seems very sound. Engine was bone dry when I went to check her out, albeit a very chatty one. CV axles are perfectly dry with no tears. And no clutch slippage. In fact, I've accidentally spun the tires SO much with this car, than I have on my previous car xD (documentation doesn't show any transmission work.)

What I've done so far: Valve lash adjustment and valve cover gasket (Not so chatty anymore xD), restored headlights and replaced all front bulbs, front transmission mount, replaced shift knob with an all metal one (Car came with one of those cheap universal ones, that have soft rubber inserts..), and lastly an Atoto S8 radio with backup camera and their RF on-wheel remote.
(Oh, and I fixed the underskirt thing you see on the left of the first pic, under the bumper. Whoever touched that last didn't clip it in correctly. No damage, just dumbage.)

What I plan to do this weekend: Oil change. trans fluid, intake manifold and throttle body gaskets, PCV valve, and install a stick-on mount for my phone to go on the left side of the wheel.

Radio bezel of course isn't perfect. But it's good enough for me being the only person who's going to see it 99% of the time. AC/defrost buttons were out, cause the AC button was stuck on when I bought the car. Then wouldn't stay on after I tried fixing it. I already installed a replacement that works perfectly ^-^

I'm curious, what do you guys think about the look of the rocker arms? I'd say they look very clean for 100k. My previous car was a 98 Accord I bought at 213k miles. Rocker arms and inside of the valve cover were yellow-brown.
I have not done a compression test on the car. But I'm not noticing any problems so far.
