2007 Manual Trans issue, car for sale, newby

Hi guys, I just bought a 300,000 mile 2007 Honda Fit with a manual transmission(transaxel?), which makes a grindy/grumble noise while accelerating in 1st and 2nd, doesn't make any noise at highway speed, makes a lower volume grumble when engine braking at lower rpms. Can kind of play the clutch and accelerator a bit to minimize the grumble in 1st and 2nd.

I've just registered the car(cheap and easy in DC, surprisingly), but have decided that I better replace or rebuild the gearbox soon, or resell the car soon. Car is zoomy and I really like it, no smoke or anything, but the gearbox really sounds like a main bearing or something is going, though again the car sounds fine at highway speed(5th) and even in third and 4th gear, and you can play the noise out by being careful with, and playing, the clutch and accelerator in 1st and 2nd. I've already driven the car about 150 miles, changed the transmission oil(looked like panning for gold, lots of small suspended metallic particles), and the noise hasn't gotten better or worse, though I can manage to avoid it a lot better now.

Anybody want a running/titled Manual drive 2007 Fit for $2000, or know where I can buy a non-sh*t replacement gearbox cheap, or have any advice on a self rebuild of the gearbox?

After calling around a few regional salvage/junk/pick-an-pull yards, one guy mentioned this website(https://www.car-part.com/index.htm), and its phenomenal. I've already sourced a transmission(hope it is what it claims to be) within reasonable pickup distance. Ebay was giving me lame/few/zero results, so really glad to have this consolidator website! All the salvage yards I looked at online had the same interface to search their inventory, but none of them linked to the larger database. Very helpful parts resource(I do not work for them)! https://www.car-part.com/index.htm
