Just put a deposit down on a 2012 Fit Sport

Hello freaks! I've been reading through lots of info here for the last week or so and now it's time to officially join up.

Wow I actually did it I just put a deposit down on a 2012 Fit Sport in Polished Metal Metallic with the manual transmission. Amazing how hard it is to find a manual these days, but luckily the dealer I happen to like the best (Ralph Schomp Honda in Littleton, Colorado) also just happened to already have the exact car I want on order from Japan. Build date was 4/28 so the car should be here around the end of May or early June which will rock since my birthday is at the end of this month.

The big deal is that I've never bought a *new* car before - always used cars. This time going new just made sense as the Fit holds its value so well plus I can still get great financing through Honda. Very exciting!

As for mods I don't plan on doing a lot, but I'd like to get some window tinting and I'm considering those Clazzio seat covers. Normally I don't care about the wheels, but I have a feeling the Fit in that Polished Metal color would look sharp with matching gunmetal wheels. Maybe down the line, we'll see!

I've already found a lot of great info here - some of which helped win me over to the Fit so I can already say thanks everyone.

EDIT: the dealer just emailed me saying it's looking like a mid-June arrival for my Fit instead of end of May or early June. /sigh.

Congrads on joining the Fit family! Post up pictures of your car when you get it. Hope you enjoy your Fit and have many years of happy driving with it.

Thanks and I'll definitely get some pics posted when I can. It's going to be a long month.

Hmm... trying to decide if I should just order a set of Clazzio seat covers now or hold off until I actually have the car.

Bah! I should wait in case something happens and the deal falls through for whatever reason. I hate waiting.

Yeah I'm resisting the urge to start now. I *really* dig the look of the Clazzio covers with black on the outter part and gray in the middle with gray stitching. Would look great with the Polished Metal Metallic Fit Sport.

Will have to wait and see how money looks, too. I want/need to address window tinting as the first order of business. I'll be getting my Fit right at the start of summer heat here. I wish the dealer didn't want $469 to do the tinting! I'm waiting for some quotes from reputable local installers. Then gotta decide on how dark and tint material type and all that.
