Honda JDM Blue Foot Lights - Pre-Install.
Hondamatic, To answer your question... I would say...No.
When you purchase the Floor Lighting Kit it doesn't come with instructions. They come in a box that is the same as what the dealer would get. Honda assumes that the Dealer knows how to install them. The USA Lighting Kit instructions can be found in the forum or online at College Hills Honda website for downloading. Since these lights in this thread are the Japanese Version the USA instructions don't match, but are very close to being the same install instructions. Just study those USA lighting install PDF and if you get stuck, come back and re-read this thread.
It has been a long time since I installed them, but I do remember that I wished the wires to the light were longer so I could mount them anywhere I wanted under the dash foot wells. I tested where I wanted my lights before I drilled/screwed/attached them. I moved them around and found out I liked them in the middle of the dash foot well area. I think the instructions had them more off to one side. Also I never used the Japanese paper "mounting/drill holes" templates since they don't match a USA version of the FIT. I attached my lights to the small metal brackets and bent them to point the lights where I wanted them directed.
The Blue Foot Lights are awesome. I recommend you install them.
(my response relates only to the older model FITS and not to the new 2009 models)
