using high beam----no fog light ??
using high beam----no fog light ??
i just installed hid and then realise , with it being at high beam, the fog light goes off.
did i do something wrong or is this how it's suppost to be?
also does anyone know how to wire the DRL to my fog lamps or he position lights ?
my drl didn't work with the new hid

It's illegal to have your Highbeams and foglights on at the same time. It's normal that the foglights will automatically turn off. As for teh foglights at drl, there's a DIY for it: Independent Fog Light PROBLEM SOLVED

Exactly, which is why it's hard-wired that way in cars from the factory. It's usually a simple fix (jumping a relay, e.g.) to take that limitation out, as folks here have determined and described in the above thread. But people who want to show off their lighting for one reason or another usually want to bypass it.

Back in the day, I have used large wattage DRIVING lights (anyone else remmeber those) on many cars when driving in rural countryside. These are bright and had a beam pattern that shone way down back roads.
