HTML Code:

[/html]People who says spray painting your diy smoked tail lights looks really bad and not as clean as overlays and paint fades away in in the long run leaving you with dull looking tail lights!

Sorry guys i have to disagree!

i believe that if they quility of the sray paint job is good wich rely on the right steps and procedures of spray painting and in the end, once done i gurenteed that you will not be able to tell that paint was actualy sprayed on lights....and the lights will look as if the lense were originaly smoke colored lense

well to all the people who spends more than $20 on the vht nightshade spraypaint i hope that your project was worth the money.....there's also an alternative paint to that of the VHT its Tamiya Smoke spray paint for model cars...and the paint can be found most art and crafts store that carries Tamiya branded paints....this spray can should run you about 6$
(and of course my choice)

another thing ive done is tinting my headlights
as you can see a little bit of the color shifting on the passengerside headlight...it changes colors that are the shades between blue to red deppending on what angle u look at it frum...sum times i get a red tint, blue, purple, pink, ect.......(its kinda like those expensive chameleon paint jobs but its just clear paint that shifts color depending on the angle wich light shines on the object....but it shows best on cloudy days) well i like it a lot cuz it seems to blend in with my Colorado Plates......

i highly doubt that the paint is going to fade.....and for those who had this problem i guess the process wasnt done correctly........i did use a clear somthin differ frum regular clear cote.........like i said the most important thing to diy spray painting is time, product, and process.......so as long as you know wat youre doin go for it..........if its done correctly im sure by the time fading accurs....lols hopefully nothing else on your car's body is also fading........
