Review: Theretrofitsource.com

Should start this by giving details of my order...
Stage 3 kit:
FX-R Bixenon projectors
Morimoto 35W digital ballasts
Morimoto 5000k D2S bulbs
Apollo Shrouds and H4 bixenon harness

Just wanted to give my review of TRS as I've recently done my retrofit, and they've been nothing short of awesome. Order was placed shortly after receiving my tax refund, specific items were backordered. I was contacted regarding the matter and told that they could ship the in stock items then, and at no charge ship the remaining items when they arrived in stock!

So far so good! Items arrive a week or so after above contact, everything packaged very well, nothing lose, upon inspection of the contents everything was in order and ready to go.

The quality of all the parts is truely amazing, everything is as clean if not cleaner than most OEM parts I've seen. I had a small issue with one of the bulbs, it must have cracked a piece off installing one of the headlights into the car, so I called and talked to Matt at TRS and he gave me a couple tips on what might be causing the issue (this was when I found the broken bulb, I know it wasn't broken from my prior inspection of everything). Contacted Matt again yesterday in regards to a replacement bulb, and he's hooking me up with a stellar deal on the bulb, and it was shipped within an hour of payment.

I give theretrofitsource a big thumbs up and if I had to rate I'd give them a 5 stars, or a 10/10.

Theres some around, I've posted the pictures a few times already. If you haven't found them by the time I have a chance to pull them up I'll post them here.

I'd like to see some pictures of the mounting holes in the reflector since I also have the FXR's I'd like to do later.

Didn't take any, and they're sealed back up already. Its really not bad at all though. First thing was pull the bulb cover from the middle of the stock housing, and figure out where you want them mounted. I centered them in the housing so I could use the OEM bulb position and rubber caps on the rear. I drilled 3 mounting holes and cut out a center section of the reflector to make room for the back of the projector.

Right, I understand the process. What I am referring to is how you aligned the mounting holes. I fear that I'd drill the holes and mount the projector but have the cutoff diagonal instead of perfectly level horizontally. Did you just use the square in the reflector to make the holes?

Once I cut the hole for the projector to sit into I sat down with the reflector bowl looking straight up, set the projector in the housing and had it sitting where I wanted it. Take your time and eyeball it in the housing to make sure its level, you really can't be too exact. Marked thru my mounting holes on the projector with a long pick. Drill them out and start lining stuff up. The holes needed to be slightly bigger than the bolt which allows you some adjustment room, just be sure you've got it all adjusted before you seal it all up. I put globs of jb weld on the bolts so they wouldn't go anywhere.
