I put one coin in each tray. Eventually they stood up and started to roll back and forth when I went around corners.

I can't decide on a better use for the area.

we get a nice glovebox higher up and a nice shelf lower down

I have to admit I'm jealous of that lower shelf but I would miss the NA market's enormous glove compartment.
