Ok, guys, I pulled my center console apart the other day, and I found this thing located next to my acc. / lighter plug:

anyone know what it is?

BTW, it's on a JDM Fit.

Also, anyone know of an online parts catalog where I can just look up part numbers or parts schematics?

was it hooked up to anything? i'm assuming it's some kind of shock sensor? idk us US guys don't have this thing.

 

Yeah, it's hooked up to the same wiring harness as the Acc / Lighter plug and Aux Jack.
It's the 2 pin (looks like 4 pin) connector seen here in the middle:

I'm guessing it's some type of sensor too,... but not sure what,... I dunno, how much "shock" it can sense there.
Cuz a knock reference sensor per say would be better on the strut tower and not there,...
If someone has an online parts catalog handy, that would be great!

 

This is coming up as 'Antenna Assy., INT'
So it's some kind of antenna.
This is in a J-spec Fit correct?
Does the vehicle have the 'smart card'?
If so then it is the antenna for the smart card.

 

YES! It does have a smart card!
Ahh ok, makes sense, I should unplug it and see if the card works, just to verify.

I'm sorry, but you cannot access the information that i have, it is only available for r&d people, but if you have more questions i might be able to give you some answers.

 

you can try downloading the service manual and see if it gives you the same info there...I'm not at home so I can't check that out for you at this time.

can anyone confirm if this is an antenna? I have mine in hand at the moment reading the serial number. it was found discarded somewhere in my car. and yes its a jap spec car.
