^^Only problem is with the headrest's in and driver/passenger seat back to were I'm comfortable (6'2),my seat's won't go down all the way.I say just store them under seat's.

 

yes they do! The Fit was designed to do so. I do that all the time.
Slide the front seat forward then back over them its uber quick and easy
via the lever on the top of the front seats.

I am the same height and I know what you mean...but it does work

 

or you could leave the seats up and just take off the headrest's. thats what i did

 

That's true, I didn't even think of that.

 

I think that is what most people are doing (who share this concern)

 

When I do take them off I leave them in the hatch, no big deal. Visibility is 100x improved with them gone. I would love to buy some aftermarket ones like the one in the middle that are low profile.

 

For those of you that remove the rear headrests, as I said..... They do fit in the spare tire well. Takes some forcing. Keeps them from sliding around in the back. And out of site.

 

Would the middle fit on the left and the right? Maybe we can just order the middle one?

 

No. The posts are a lot closer together unfortunately.

 

I wonder how much the middle headrest costs as a replacement part... maybe it'd be easy to change the spacing of the posts?

 

Stock head rests.. most cars, well at least the honda's and toyota's i've seen have these big things.. mostly for better support during rear crash for rear passengers i'm thinking.. just imagine too low and being rear ended.. and snap goes back the neck.. go look at youtube for "crash" tests.. pretty amazing the amount of force these things need to protect.. so be glad there big.. as for visibility a must get is a "broadway" mirror.. i think mine is 400mm flat.. it looks too big in the store.. but when it's on the car it's sweet.. and you can almost see three lanes behind you.. got mine near monterey park.. 19 bucks.. "san gabriel market" hah.. sorry your kinda far.. but do get one.. you won't regret it.. (only problem you find is you can't place visors flat againt windshield.. but they still work.. you just have to use em' at an angle.. if you want of pic of it on the mirror.. just pm.
