Well I took apart my console and everything yesterday, but i can't get the damn shift cable unhooked or unlocked, how do you do it? D: it says to move it counter-clock wise but it won't budge

turn it harder. lol. it's really stuck in there.

i was thinking the same as you, but it's really just a matter of force. there's not a lot of leverage to work with, so just keep trying.

Use a pair of pliers or vice grips and grab it gently so you don't mess it up and twist it to the side it should pop off.

you have aim i can help you step by step and talk instantly if you need help.

it should be "snug" not super tight. you need to use loctite on the set screws for the extension also. do you have any loctite? i used the medium strength, that way if i ever need to take it off i can take it off with a little force and not damage anything. you might also notice that the set screws go in at a downward angle, make you you screw em in properly so you dont strip out the set screws or the hole.

if you have aim gtive me your screen name and i can answer any questions you might have.

success! though its not as short as i thought it would be (not suprised since i read this many times), it does feel a bit sporty'er and more rough which i like =)
