Thumbs up My Gen 1 sound system

I am running a single din Pioneer Premier HU matched with a Audiobahn line driver. The dash kit is a Metra and fits flush and it is perfectly color matched to my dash. My unit is USB so I can plug my portable dvd unit in with a twenty foot cord, which means I can sit on the beach watch movies and have the sound (and volume controls) coming thru my car speaker system. I had a double din system but found it to have to many glitches for me, plug this in and that does not work..plug that in this does not play...Humbug. Although they look awesome I just found them to difficult to operate so I simplified my unit. I have Boston Acoustic 6 3/4 over-sized separates in all four doors, mounted the slim design crossover inside the door panel. Capacitor mounted underneath the rear seat. 5 channel Boss Riot 1500 watt amp supplying power to all of my speakers plus the 10'' Pioneer Premier ultra slim 1200 watt sub in a ported enclosure. Small and compact but packs a hellava punch!! Plus I ample space for cargo in the rear bay to play with. Will add pics of mounted Amp & sub later.

By the way all of you guys have some awesome looking set-ups your rides

Installed my dash unit (Pioneer Avic x920bt) yesterday. Had a friend helped me out and it took about 5 hours to complete. Wasn't too difficult, just had to be careful.

I had both the Socsche and Metra kit but decided to use the Socsche kit because of the color and finish. I still have the Metra kit practically brand new if anyone wants to purchase - I will make a posting for that soon.

Here are before and after pictures:
