you don't need 2 or 3 or a huge sub if you have an efficient sub in a well designed box with an efficient amp. there's also more to just mounting subs on boxes.

my single eD in a BSW box. I got lucky with the BSW box cheap on ebay a yr ago

i was actually looking at the ed 13av2 and the carpeted ported box that they sell for it and they're nine.1 amp i'm actually considering it more than the fi now, from what i've read it will hit every note i'm looking for and more. hmm looks like i'll be building a package on their site and do a bulk order

I'm an sq nut. eD is a trade secret highly regarded when it comes to SQ. I can vouch for their amps and subs... I'll skip their components tho

your secrets safe. one of my spl buddies turned me on to their edead product for my 240sx and ever since then i've been itching to do the edead80 and teklite in this car.
thanks for the heads up.
my purchase has been held up for a few weeks due to having to pay 900 bucks cash for 3 college classes :/ but it's all good, only a minor speed bump.

^good stuff... I went with quick roof

the best part about their amps... it's a 12v design amp and don't need 14v to get full wattage and I'm pretty sure it's not made in china

I love my eD nine.2, it's powered my type-x 6.5" components for a year now

I also vouch for eD quality!

to be more on topic, however, I found my single Diamond d610d2 10" woofer powered by a viper d1200.1 to produce plllenty of bass for the little fit. I thought about putting in my old RL-P 15" but with the limited space behind the back seat I couldn't fit a proper sized ported enclosure for a sub of that size and power.

the only problem with getting loud, loud bass is that you have to have mids and highs that can keep up. that means... you'll be spending a whooole lot of money on a nice set of components and some power for them. my alpine type-x 6.5" components have very warm tweeters and, with enough power, are completely capable of keeping up with all but the most ridiculous bass setups, but... at those volumes i don't even want to be in the car.

right now I'm rocking the single diamond 10", the viper d1200.1 sub amp, alpine spx-177r components, and a nine.2 component amp. I find that this combination can pretty much blow the roof off of my fit.

I found that imaging is best mounting the tweeters in the stock locations as opposed to the dash or lower on the door(GD).
