Thumbs down Factory interior lighting ( what a joke)

I just had Honda install the interior lighting hahahahaha what a joke! Spent way too much money for something you can barely see! Heck a glow stick puts off more light then this crap! Anyone else have any thoughts on this

The pictures I've seen on here of people that have it seems bright enough to me. It's an accent lighting. It's not suppose to be like that neon crap every one seems to like these days.

Don't have it, probably wont, but I have seen it installed and, to me, it seems fine for what it is. Any brighter and interior night reflections could become a problem. I even keep the gauge lights low at night.

What were you looking for in the lights?

Fit Interior & Exterior Illumination section of the forums has a whole slew of wonderful DIY LED setups you may want to look into.

If you're looking for brighter ambient light in your footwells, you may want to check out the DIY - footwell illumination, ambient lights & glovebox illumination thread.

If you're looking for an option for more light to illuminate the dark interior, you may want to consider replacing the stock dome, map, and trunk lights with SMD LED panels. I purchased a set through ACleanSC4: FS: SuperBRIGHT SMD LED Panels - Interior/Exterior and was very much satisfied with the end product.

What were you looking for in Honda's lighting kit that did not deliver?

I agree REALLY bright might be a problem, but for the money spent it wasn't worth it.

I was looking for something not too too bright but at least something you can see! Lol you can barely see the light shine on your feet and it's not even bright enough to take a pic! Idk what I'll do now! Prob just take your advise and DIY thanks for the help

I wasn't referring to the non-factory diys on here. I'm taking about factory sets. They look just as bright as any other stock interior lighting I've seen. In fact, I remember when I first saw them, I thought how much brighter they are than the ones on my Fusion. Again, it's not meant for actually providing usable light, it's meant for mood accenting, which it does very well.

Maybe the ones they installed aren't like the ones you've seen cause I can't even see them shine on my feet! I knew it wasn't gonna be bright lights, but I can't even take a pic of them to even show you what I'm talking about. Maybe they did them wrong or something idk
