looking at getting a dvd unit for my car double din, but I live in florida would, does are car dash placment make it immposible to own a double din in hot temps like florida

 

I've been running a double din for a couple of years now and I live in Texas. Texas is just as hot or hotter at times than Florida. I own a GD3 if that matters.

 

u get any issues like white screen or anything wierd ever

 

If your worried about temps in FL go buy a $10 windshield screen for when the car is parked. But I don't think you should have any issues what so ever unless your using an off brand and not something known like Alpine/Sony/Kenwood/Pioneer.

 

I use Sony and it's not failed on me.

 

Shouldnt have any problems at all, the higher end name brand screens mentioned above go through tons of tests that include high temp tests as well as as cold temp test to see if operations diminish. Also the better screens usually have a fan built into the head unit to ensure safe operation. I have an Alpine INA-910W, fantastic screen with so many features. Even more if you have an Iphone. Best money spent. With head units you get what you pay for, though expensive screens can still fail. Just make sure you get warranty, it could save you in the long run.
