The Official Shift Knob Thread
Is GE Fit the same? I am thinking of either wrapping the stock one with leather or getting an aftermarket one to replace... Is GE FIT auto gear also the same like in the pic above, i.e. gear shift button is on top? So I can juz get Momo AT Shift Knob which its button is also on top...

Ive kind of always wanted to use the handle of a katana to shift. Someone make this happen.
Quick edit: Just did a google search for katana handle shift knob and came up with a thread on another forum with some crazy pics. INCLUDING a katana handle shift knob. Looks like its on a Nissan. heres the link http://importsnc.com/forums/general-...ob-thread.html

I have an 8-ball that is tapped with the std. M10 thread and countersunk deeply into the ball so that it drops the ball down onto the shaft.
basically shortens the overall length of the shaft by about 1"
an official eightball weighs 225g, which is 5g less than a Skunk2 weighted knob weighs, so i consider my knob a "weighted 8ball knob"
it doesnt get too hot in the summer. definitely not as cool as a leather or non-black one though. but it only cost me $5 for the ball and some time to drill and tap. any billiard store will sell 'replacement' balls out of their sets for about $5-10.
the trick is to get a good quality ball that is solid throughout. some of the cheap ones have a filler material that isnt good to thread.
