I keep a couple microfiber towels in my console for wiping down the dash. When I get to work in the morning I toss one over the knob to keep the sun off of it. Still gets warm but not nearly as hot.

Boot came from JHPUSA.com the shift boot ring was my OEM ring that I sent off to rogue long ago, then theres the collar between the boot and knob, the only place I found them was jdmland.com. The boot doesn't mount right in, something to think about... I used an adhesive to hold the leather to the plastic ring.

I was thinking about getting that collar, but I read about some guy having to do some drilling or dremeling to get it to fit. And after all that, it still didnt fit. The collar just threads right on, no?

Its definitely not a direct fit. Lots of milling on the inside has to take place. I found a bit for my dremel that made quick work of it, you just have to be really careful because you end up removing nearly all the material thats there. But take your time with that and it'll thread right on.

Sorry to bring back an older thread, but does anybody have a Team Voodoo shift knob on a GE8? Since it is countersunk, will it pop right on without removing the shift boot collar (or whatever seems to hold it up)?

Jack-O'-Lantern

Thought I would throw some pics of my knob into the mix, in case anyone is still keeping up with this thread!

And a closer shot...

Nice I love the jackolantern. If that company that makes it makes like skulls and other cool stuff I'd get multiple and use that one around halloween and change out throughout the year

Thanks! only problem is, the company that makes them is me. It's a one-off...

About a year ago, a friend of mine got in my car, looked at the shift knob and said, "Is this seasonal?" So maybe I should do other ones and change them out for different times of the year!

To be honest I kinda figured It was a one off made by you. Do you take requests? because depending on the car I get next I have an idea for something.
