I received the following email from a company that sells the Momo Shift Knobs, which are exactly the type of knobs I am looking for. The rep says:

<<Measure the thickness of the shift lever. If it is between 9 and 15 mm you are good to go with a Momo Shift Knob.>>

Does anyone know the thickness of the MT Fit shift lever?

Thanks,
CarGirl

RoBear Racing. SKUNK2 BILLET SHIFT KNOB: HONDA / ACURA (5-SPEED)

RoBear Racing. It's only $39.99 I have bought a couple things from them and they have been a joy to deal with.

nice, you put change in the cupholder sometimes too huh? lol. When I get around to putting my JDM console in, nothing will go in there besides a napkin and a drink on top of it ;D

It's been in my closet for the past 3 months lol haven't opened it yet actually. I'm acquiring stuff so I never have to take it out once it's in. I got the Mugen shiftkit and Skunk2 knob, just waiting on shift/ebrake boots from T1R then I'll put it all in there :P

I'm currently trying to see if Scott from King Motorsports can track one down, and if it'll infact work with the Honda Fit.

that's pretty sick!

Q about skunk2 knob:

The washer/nut thing that came with it, when I screw it all the way on tight, and put the knob on top of it tight, the numbers are quite a bit off. I have it so the nut is not completely tight, but tight against the knob so the numbers face the right way. However if I turn the knob left with a little force, not much, it will loosen up. How do I get it to stay tight like the OEM knob?

While holding the knob with one hand, tighten the nut in one direction while turning the knob in the other direction. If you tighten it enough, it should stay put. I have never had any problems with mine.

Once you have your console and shortshifter on, you could use some blue loctite, but I think that would be overkill.

Basically you want to hold the shift knob into place using your one hand, thus making sure the numbers are aligned correctly. Once everything is to your liking, snug the nut tight up against the bottom of the shift knob using your other hand. You can even use a wrench to the tighten the nut further, but remember to hold the shift knob as it may turn along with the nut.

yeah I was thinking of getting an open wrench to tighten the nut lol. I had gotten my car detailed (never doing that again btw, could've done a better job for $5 myself instead of $25) and when I got in, the numbers were off. When I drive, it stays put because I don't mess with it lol I'm gonna go try to play with it some more to see how tight I can get it. Thanks guys :P
