The Official Shift Knob Thread

I received the following email from a company that sells the Momo Shift Knobs, which are exactly the type of knobs I am looking for. The rep says:
<<Measure the thickness of the shift lever. If it is between 9 and 15 mm you are good to go with a Momo Shift Knob.>>
Does anyone know the thickness of the MT Fit shift lever?
Thanks,

RoBear Racing. It's only $39.99 I have bought a couple things from them and they have been a joy to deal with.
It's been in my closet for the past 3 months lol haven't opened it yet actually. I'm acquiring stuff so I never have to take it out once it's in. I got the Mugen shiftkit and Skunk2 knob, just waiting on shift/ebrake boots from T1R then I'll put it all in there :P
that's pretty sick!
Q about skunk2 knob:
The washer/nut thing that came with it, when I screw it all the way on tight, and put the knob on top of it tight, the numbers are quite a bit off. I have it so the nut is not completely tight, but tight against the knob so the numbers face the right way. However if I turn the knob left with a little force, not much, it will loosen up. How do I get it to stay tight like the OEM knob?

Once you have your console and shortshifter on, you could use some blue loctite, but I think that would be overkill.
i have the skunk2 knob -- my fav knob besides the t1r one -- make the nut on the buttom line up -- mine is hard as hell to take off and lined up perfect just move up the lock nut a couple threads and it will line up perrfecto

yeah I was thinking of getting an open wrench to tighten the nut lol. I had gotten my car detailed (never doing that again btw, could've done a better job for $5 myself instead of $25) and when I got in, the numbers were off. When I drive, it stays put because I don't mess with it lol I'm gonna go try to play with it some more to see how tight I can get it. Thanks guys :P
