If that car wash has a security camera, you can try to get law enforcers to hand the tapes over. I hope you catch those mofos, and make them pay!

Edit: Car washes are suppose to have records of every transactions. In California, they usually keep track of the license plates. These thieves are indeed stupid. LOL

You haven't canceled your cards yet? That should be the first thing you do, and/or have the credit card company flag the card as stolen. If someone goes into a store or gas station to use your card, the card swipes, declines and you have them on camera. If the clerk doesn't call the cops on the spot (some do, some don't), the police could probably even use camera information to get a license plate number if he or she isn't in the system. Unless the car's stolen, in which case you're probably screwed on finding the person. But credit card theft and use is an identity crime which IMMEDIATELY gets ramped up to a federal offense. No slap on the wrist. That = hard time.

Yeah...I've had my credit card number stolen more than once (f*ckin' PayPal). Racked that ish'd up $15,000 . Thankfully, they caught the guy. He's doing fed time now. Hope it works out for you.

That's some bullsh*t. How long did they tell you it would take the cancellation to process because that should be immediate. You should sue the credit card company.

And yeah, PayPal isn't safe at all. When I was talking to the feds, they told me most of the identity theft they come across is from PayPal. Now I only order from eBay if the seller has a phone number and is a vendor.
