Tow hooks added. Just because.

When I first got them the bolts were way too long. Seller said that is what he had. Shit. I did get a partial refund. So found a Chinese seller with the short ones. He sent me a pair at a very reasonable price. While they are Chinese steel and chrome plating they work. I sprayed them with Rust Check once I had them on as the "chrome" chipped easily.

It was a beach getting the bolts in as the holes were really rusty. Lots of WD40 and some new words got them in. They are not coming out.

Finally had enough of the glove box rattle. Seems like only occurs when it gets really warm. Fine in the winter. Anyhow stacked a couple of felt chair guides on either side and slammed it closed. Works!!

Bad Taffy threw a check engine light yesterday. Ah ha. Solution - open filler flap, remove gas cap and put back on snug. Problem solved.

Got my Chinese air filter today. Well folks I was remiss in not checking mine. I see in my records it has been almost 3yrs since I changed it. While not a lot of miles there is a lot of city ones. The new filter off Ebay was less than $20 . Shipping as much as the filter as per usual.

The new one here

Taffy got coal for Xmas. She was bad. A check engine light before Xmas. Code P2138 - incorrect voltage correlation in the throttle circuit. It goes into limp mode but runs OK on a restart. Today had them re-scan and same code. The Throttle Controller has been taken out of circuit and all seems to be OK. Just have to wait and see. NO charge by dealer for the re-scan and work today -)

Had my yearly O & F change today.

I know the price was right as well as 1 year old low mileage tires. Some say they are cheap knockoffs but I like them. I do get the occasional rub up front but since I added RSB it is very rare.

It was clean me up weekend. Friday we did interior and washed. Sat we use clay bar and a wax.

Oh on Fri we also removed the hood deflector. Fishing line, WD40 and both thumbnails got rid of the 3M. Amazing no fading of paint after almost 6 yrs. Have yet to get the first door ding. Only a few pin points of chips I have touched up. Now both corners of the lip could use some TLC.

I like my wheels for the ease of cleaning. A quick swipe with my WalMart brush is all they need.

Replaced the driver seat heating pad. It was easy fix. Just loosen the Clazzio and pull the old one out. It apparently has a break somewhere in the grid.

Next up is trying to get my head around the instructions for a dash cam. It arrived yesterday sans an microSD card. Cheaper to order online from Amazon so awaiting one. Hope I have it before a road trip late next week.

Oh have ordered a new throttle controller. Mine gave up the ghost back around Xmas. I do miss it as I ran on the Eco3 setting. Can't get use to normal throttle setting.

Have a license plate bracket for the front on order as well. Will relocate it to one side in lower grille opening.

Sent dash cam back today. It and me are not compatible. I could not get it to play back.

Installed throttle controller yesterday. First did not have one plug in all the way so no power. Fixed that and for the life of me could not get my head around the instructions. So today duh went to U-Tube. I just reset it in about 30 seconds.

Oh and I washed it today. Taking it to Ottawa on Sat then through the lake regions to Minden/Huntsville area. Lots of twisties on that route.

Trip was great. l 1250 kms. The twistie part of route was fun even though it rained. Hitting standing puddles at bottom of hills was an experience. For about 10 miles met one other car... a red Fit.
