mike410 returns with a build thread (teaser inside)
Just got a killer deal on some new wheels.

Probably gonna go with white centers and polished lips.
Shocks have shipped. Wheels have arrived. Fenders being rolled sometime next week.
So the last owner had some different taste to say the least. He sprayed them trying to figure out a color combo.

So I put some work in and this is where I'm at

Doing this is a pain in the ass but its gonna be worth it.

Stripped and ready to be painted

Test fit on the rear because the front needs a 10mm spacer or so

The bracket that is most likely going to be removed. 3.6in lower here I come

Gonna result in some sweet rim tuckage

The yellows that are for a Saab 900 NG (94-98)
The Monroe air shock that people use on the Fit is from a J-body (82-94). The J-body guys use the Saab Konis for their rear. So I figured I'd give it a shot. Worst case I chop the stock mount off and weld it on the Koni. The stock ones are an inch longer but compress to be an inch shorter.

So I made a mock up spacer out of 1/2in mdf
It measures about 13mm thick

I now have clearance

A whole 7.55mm

So a 10mm spacer should leave 4.55mm of space which is enough. I guess I'm gonna order those along with extended studs. I really dont want to take the hub off and get new bearings pressed in
