mike410 returns with a build thread (Low teaser inside 7/23 Update))
Hey everybody, its been a long time since I actually posted something on here. My Fit has been in its current state for a while but a change is here. I hope to get this all done within a couple of weeks.
Teaser:
Terrible, but only recent picture of my car
The current, its only temporary (still there 3 years later) setup
Race prep (j/k)
Hooked up the new 1/0 to the battery and put the new 200A fuse in. An alt upgrade is in my future.
Where it goes in through the firewall. Going to seal it up tomorrow.
Right into the passenger foot well
Trying to get a rough idea of what I want to do in the trunk. Gonna pick up some materials tomorrow.
Amazing location for the e-level rocker switch
UPDATE 7/4:
Got the RCAs in their new location going down the center.
Zip-tied it to the e brake sensor.
Wires go under the carpet.
Hopefully this is all the wiring I have to run to the back. I don't want to take off all the panels again
Test fitting the tank with the new sub box.
Box is done. BASS > trunk space
Back side. Where the amps and some other stuff will go.
Just threw the amps in there to see how they looked.
Update 7/15:
So today I created a mount for the tank. I also got pictures of the compressor frame and the finished box.
7/21 UPDATE:
The Compressor frame bolted down where the spare tire used to bolt to.
box down
Holes drilled, no turning back now
from the underside
Bulkheads that are going in
Bulkheads in and the VU4 new location
Got the very short lines in
mounting things for the water traps
Compressor filters on and relays hooked up
Back all wired up. Glad its getting covered by the seats
Tank in and everything hooked up
Tomorrow I am going to work on the welding/fabrication part. Hopefully everything gets done and it lays out.
7/23 Update:
Teaser pic. Full update tomorrow
7/24 Update:
What few pics I took while working
Rear bag mount. Yes that is water. We did a bit of this in the rain
Front bag up in the fender well
New top mount
Front pretty much all up
Rear welded in and all secure
Close to on the ground
Just need to take the bump stops out of the rear and see if it goes lower. Ordering Koni's soon.
Home at last
