Progress Auto Rear Anti-Sway bar! WITH DIY PHOTOS PAGE 5!
After sitting on it for a couple of weeks, I finally got around to installing my bar last weekend (thanks for the torque specs, leonine). I got mine from newedgeperformance.com.
Really easy install. I supported the rear on jackstands, and when I unbolted the second shock absorber, both hubs came down together, and the springs fell out on their own, no pushing down necessary. I held my breath as I checked the brake lines, but they still had slack. The bar does kind of rest on the fuel line during install, but nothing to worry about. I put both springs back on at the same time and used a floorjack to compress one side first, and then the other.
It handles a little bit better now, more like go-carts at Boomers, although the stock ride wasn't all that bad to begin with IMO. I did similar mods to my pickup and minivan, and the improvement was much more noticeable on those. I don't get to push it much in LA traffic, but once in a while I get a chance to yank the steering wheel at an intersection and leave people behind (only to have them catch up at the next light).
I'd recommend this mod to anyone, even if you don't race. You'll never know when you're going to need that little extra handling stability. One word of caution with this mod: beware of flying objects in the cabin (ipods, pens, sunglasses, etc.)

Thanks for the business! I am glad you like it!

i'd like to purchase this bar.........is this the only sway bar that I would need??? all comments are welcome.......also I have gf 210 on my fit w/ no alignment as of yet and I notice when driving at 40 + mph straight, I'll turn the steering wheel from 2 o'clock to 12 and rear lags a second to get straight......?????? any advice is greatly appreciated
Uh Oh?
Anyone try to install this bar with T1R coilovers?
I just took a quick look under my car and it seems that the adjustable spring perches won't sit right after the bolts are tightened down on the bar.

Did you reuse the rubber spring perch mount on the bottom of the coil spring. This should give you enough give and go to get the spring to sit properly. Any spring wonn't sit absolutely perfect after installing the bar in my opinion.
Having come from the watercooled VW scene, I am VERY familiar with the suspension design that Honda used on the Fit...we are basically driving brand new Honda made 1975 Rabbits here guys. The sway bar debate has gone on long and hard in the VW world, with 2 camps showing up, the massive rear sway bar camp, and the massive front bar camp. It all comes down to what you prefer. Me, I was the massive rear bar camp (I'd prefer slight oversteer at the limit). Regardless, I like the reviews of this product that you guys have posted, and just ordered mine, will post my impressions when it arrives.
If it follows my pattern, you'll be seeing it really soon.
Looking forward to hearing your impression. I know I love mine. I took it on some back roads recently. I know it outhandles my '02 WRX, which isn't exactly a slug.

How many RAVE reviews does it take for you to decide? Your only mistake would be not to buy this bar.
